Design in detail
Finely crafted exterior details let you know that the V60 is one of the new generation of Volvo cars. A proud front grille sets the tone, while sculptured sides emphasize the car's athletic character. Strongly defined rear shoulders express the car 's dynamic abilities, while deep and long side windows communicate the practicality of the V60 and let a lot of light into its cabin.
An illuminating presence
The V60 has LED headlights that give the car a strong identity, and give you the best possible view at night. The T-shaped light signature - a key element of Volvo Cars' latest design language - radiate strength. LED Illumination technology switches between dipped and full beam to provide the best view and avoid dazzling other road users. Range -topping Full-LED Active High Beam Illumination technology does so by adapting the light pattern on full beam, giving you a larger area of light. It also includes Active bending lights that turn in the same direction as the steering wheel (up to 30' in either direction), to give a better view through corners.

The thoughtfully designed interior of the V60 helps you to pursue an active lifestyle. The 60/40 split rear backrest adapts to different needs, with each part folding to leave a practically flat load surface. The head restraints automatically fold out of the wa; as the backrests are folded, while backrests that fold down electrically are an option.
Useful features in the load compartment include a storage area under the floor that keeps valuable items out of sight and is locked together with the tailgate, as well as four shopping bag hooks and load securing eyelets that allow a variety of items to be transported safely.
Go hands-free
The power-operated tailgate available as an option for the V60 makes loading and unloading the car easier. It means you can open or close the tailgate using a button on the car's remote control, tailgate or dashboard. When combined with the keyless entry option it also offers a hands-free function that allows you to open or shut the tailgate simply by moving your foot under the rear bumper.

Many of the functions in the V60 are controlled from the center display with touch screen - a feature familiar to the new generation of Volvo cars that blends sleek design with ease of use. It is designed to reduce distraction, with bold, clear graphics and a vertical format that makes reading information and maps especially easy. The 9 -inch touch screen is so responsive that you can use it wearing gloves, while the surface has a special coating that reduces glare.

The technology in the V60 is focused on your needs, to make driving easier and more enjoyable. The digital driver display behind the steering wheel puts important information directly in front of you, and automatically adjusts brightness to the surrounding light conditions.
The voice control function in the V60 allows you to operate the climate control, navigation, media and telephone features just b y speaking. It recognizes natural speech, so there's no need to memorize a list of set prompts or phrases.

There are diamond-pattern finishes for the air vents' control knobs, starter button, driving mode rotary controller and steering wheel controls.
The materials used in the cabin of the V60 enhance the feeling of modern Swedish luxury on board. Inscription trim includes décor in Driftwood - a unique wood treatment that is satisfying to look at and touch, and which references Volvo Cars' Swedish heritage.

As well a s providing a sporty feel, the V60 delivers the breadth of ability that you expect of a Volvo car, with a ride that provides excellent comfort over any road.
The drive you desire
The V60 offers a choice of drive modes, for a driving experience tailored to you. Using the roller control, which is positioned between the front seats, you can switch easily between three default settings for the engine, automatic gearbox, steering, brakes, stability control system and engine stop/start function. You can even create your own combination with Individual mode.

The optional Four-C active chassis is an electronically controlled damping system that makes the V60 even more adept at adapting to your needs. It makes up to 500 calculations per second to assess the current road conditions and driving style, and then adapts the responses of the shock absorbers to provide the optimum balance of comfort and control.
When switching between the car's drive modes, the Four-C system also adjusts the suspension characteristics. Comfort mode prioritizes a smooth ride, while Dynamic mode sharpens the steering response and handling. Individual mode allows the driver to create their own combination of settings.

Bowers & Wilkins audio is the top-level sound system for the V60. A collaboration with acclaimed audio manufacturer, Bowers & Wilkins, the system delivers 1100 watts to its 15 speakers, including a unique air-ventilated subwoofer that provides powerful bass tones. Each speaker is positioned to optimize the car's acoustics, and there is a dashboard-mounted tweeter that cuts down acoustic reflection from the windscreen.
Three different room modes - Studio, Individual Stage and Gothenburg Concert Hall - allow you to tailor the sound to your music or mood, while visual details such as stainless steel speaker panels, Bowers & Wilkins logos and Bowers & Wilkins' trademark yellow speaker cones create an exclusive impression throughout the cabin.

Automatic Level Adjustment creates a consistent level of volume and intensity, while special algorithms adjust the output to compensate for external noise.

You can access all your music on the move in the V60, thanks to seamless smartphone integration. Support for Apple CarPlay allows you to link an Apple iPhone. Android Auto is also supported. It means you can easily select music through the car's touchscreen or voice command function.

Your semi-autonomous assistant
Volvo Cars' Pilot Assist is semi-autonomous drive technology that helps keep a set speed and distance to the vehicle in front of you, and uses steering input to keep you in the center of your lane. Pilot Assist works at speeds up to 130 km/h, and is particularly helpful in highway conditions, helping to reduce some of the effort required when driving at higher speeds or in heavy traffic.
Get a birds-eye view
The 360· Camera available for the Volvo V60 helps to make parking simple by giving you a bird's-eye view of your car and its immediate surroundings. It's especially useful when negotiating tight spaces, and can help you to avoid costly car park scrapes. The surround view from the four 'fish-eye' cameras integrated in the car appears on the center touchscreen and is available at speeds up to 10 km/h.

Park Assist Pilot is like having a valet to park your car perfectly for you, every time. It uses sensors to gauge the size of parallel or perpendicular spaces as you drive by them, and lets you know if one is big enough. It can then steer the car into a parallel space just 1.2 times the length of the car - all you need to do is operate the gears and brake according to the screen prompts. Your V60 will do the rest for you.
Loads better
A range of load accessories help you use the abilities of your V60 to the full. These include a strong, lightweight bicycle holder that allows you to take what you love with you, and a folding towbar that slides out electrically when you need it.

Ultra high-strength boron steel - one of the strongest types of steel available - forms a rigid safety cell around the car's occupants, while crumple zones front and rear dissipate as much energy as possible away from the passenger cell in the event of a collision.
Looking out for you
City Safety is a Volvo Cars innovation that helps to protect people inside and outside the V60 by looking out for potential danger. It uses radar and camera technology to identify potential hazards such as other vehicles, cyclists, pedestrians and large animals ahead, day or night. It warns the driver if it detects an imminent collision and, if they don't react in time, City Safety can automatically apply the brakes to help avoid or mitigate a collision. In the V60, City Safety also includes Steering Support, which helps the driver to steer away from danger as effectively and safely as possible.

Keeping you on the road
Run-off road Mitigation help to make accidents where a vehicle leaves the road - one of the most common types of accidents - less likely to happen. It detects if the car is about to leave the road unintentionally between 65-140km/h and can then use steering and if necessary, brake support to guide the car back onto the right path.
If the car does leave the road, Run-off Road Protection - another Volvo Cars innovation - reduces the chances of serious injury. It features an energy-absorbing structure in the front seat frames that cushions vertical impact in the event of a hard landing and in addition optional safety belts that tighten electrically to hold the occupants firmly in place.
