Volvo On Call - Activation

To activate Volvo On Call in your vehicle, press the SOS button above your rearview mirror. An On Call operator will activate your Volvo and send you two emails/texts with your Volvo ID and PIN. After that, you can use the SOS button for emergencies or the Volvo On Call button for roadside assistance.


Connect to the Volvo On Call app with a four-year complimentary subscription. Download the Volvo On Call app to your mobile device.


Turn off the in-vehicle modem through Sensus. Go to Settings > Communication and uncheck the Vehicle Modem Internet box.


Next, log into the mobile app with your Volvo ID and password from the registration. Follow the instructions and press the Volvo On Call button in your car. The app will confirm when you’re done.


Turn your in-vehicle modem back on. Go to Settings > Communication and check the Vehicle Modem Internet box.


Go to the Applications screen, tap Download Center > New Apps and download the Volvo ID app. Enter your Volvo ID into the app.
