Voice Commands

ACCESS KEY FUNCTIONS WITHOUT TAKING YOUR HANDS OFF THE WHEEL.

Press the voice control button on your steering and wait for the tone.

Speaking in a normal tone and at a normal speed, say something like “Navigation,” “Raise temperature,” or “Call Dad mobile” and your Volvo will respond. You can also say, “Repeat,” “Cancel,” or “Help” for guidance. (Please note: voice commands for navigation features require Sensus Navigation; see your Volvo retailer for details).

With some voice commands, you’ll see a list of options to choose from on your Digital Instrument Display. Use the keypad arrows on your steering wheel to navigate and make a selection.

To speed up a command dialog or skip system responses, press the voice control button during the response and give your next command.

To manage your settings for voice control, tap the white bars at the top of the Sensus screen and go to  Settings > System > Voice Control.
