Oncoming Lane Mitigation

If you begin to drift, Lane Keeping Aid helps you reduce the risk of accidents and guides you safely back into your lane.

If you inadvertently begin to cross the center line into the path of oncoming traffic, this function helps steer you back into your lane. If you use a turn signal, the feature will not engage.

When steering assistance has been provided, you’ll see Collision Avoidance Assistance Automatic Intervention on the instrument panel.

It’s active between 37 – 87 mph on roads with clear lane marker lines, and recognizes four-wheel vehicles only.

To turn the function on or off, tap the white bars at the top of the Sensus screen and go to Settings > My Car > IntelliSafe and tap Collision Avoidance Assistance. Please note that this also turns on/off steering assistance with Run-off Road Mitigation and steering assistance during collision risks from behind (when another vehicle approaches from behind or is in your blind spot).
