Driver Alert Control

DRIVER ALERT CONTROL

If you begin to drift, Lane Keeping Aid helps you reduce the risk of accidents and guides you safely back into your lane.

WThe system uses a camera to monitor lane markers and compares the direction with steering-wheel movements. When you’re going more than 40 mph and your Volvo detects an erratic driving pattern, you’ll see a “coffee cup” symbol with “Driver Alert Time for a break” on your instrument panel. If the driving pattern continues, you’ll see the same alert and hear a signal.

To adjust Driver Alert Control settings, tap the white bars at the top of the Sensus home screen and go to Settings > My Car > IntelliSafe > Driver Alert Control. Select Alertness Warning to turn the feature on or off. Select Rest Stop Guidance to receive directions to a nearby rest area when the feature is activated.
