Distance Alert

Your Volvo will suggest taking a break if your driving suggests fatigue.

The system uses a camera to monitor lane markers and compares the direction with steering-wheel movements. When you’re going more than 40 mph and your Volvo detects an erratic driving pattern, you’ll see a “coffee cup” symbol with “Driver Alert Time for a break” on your instrument panel. If the driving pattern continues, you’ll see the same alert and hear a signal.

To adjust Driver Alert Control settings, tap the white bars at the top of the Sensus home screen and go to Settings > My Car > IntelliSafe > Driver Alert Control. Select Alertness Warning to turn the feature on or off. Select Rest Stop Guidance to receive directions to a nearby rest area when the feature is activated.
