CHILD SAFETY LOCKS – ELECTRONIC

Keep children from inadvertently opening a rear door.

Electronic child safety locks can be activated/deactivated when the ignition is on or for up to two minutes after the engine has been switched off as long as no doors have been opened.

To activate the locks, press the button on the left rear of the driver’s door control panel. You’ll see Rear Child Lock Activated on the instrument panel and the indicator light will go on.

This locks both the door and windows. Only the driver can open the windows and the doors can be opened from the outside only.

To turn the child locks off, press the button again.

You’ll see Rear Child Lock Deactivated on the instrument panel. Your Volvo remembers your settings. Once you activate the child locks, they remain active until you turn them off.
